I knew this day would come.  It was over two years in the making.  A long and hard-fought battle.  I had just wanted it to be on my terms and at the time of my choosing.  However, throughout this past year, I have exhausted all of my possibilities to remain in business.  The SBCTA effectively closed me down.  I have no remaining options to explore.  This was a difficult decision.  The temporary closure and the relocation search have come to an end.  It is with great sorrow that I must announce that my store, and my father’s before me, Cagle’s Appliance, will be permanently closed as of today. 

 

For a short period of time, the website, emails and phone number will remain active to provide you with local referrals for your appliance needs.  I suggest you print the list out for your future reference. 

 

This business has been my family’s life.  My parents started the business the year I was born.  I have never not known it to be there.  My brother Jerry was first to become a co-owner with my parents.  When he was ready to leave the appliance industry, I bought his share.  I eventually purchased the rest of the business from my parents so they could retire.  My brother, Gary, worked along side me growing the service department.  So today, the day I must announce this decision, is a very sad day.  I have faith in God that he will lead me in the right direction and move me forward with my new life, whatever that may be – without an appliance store involved!

 

I thank each and every one of my loyal customers for their years of business.  Some of you, along with your families, have been shopping with me for over 50 years.  I was truly blessed to have the best customer base and business anyone could ever imagine.  Again, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for the 72+ years we have been here in Ontario.
